Brown endorses McBerry for Governor

BVG Defends Georgia's Sovereignty at Statesboro TEA Party

With a few hundred in attendance, BVG director James Brown Jr. spoke of the need for Georgia to reassert its 10th Amendment sovereignty under the Constitution.

"It is time for we the people to take this county back," Brown said. "It's not Atlanta; it's not Washington, its Georgia first."

Brown spoke on behalf of Ray McBerry who is running for Governor of Georgia in the Republican primary in 2010. BVG is endorsing McBerry and Brown is working as a county coordinator for Georgia First.

Brown also spoke about the Department of Homeland Security's attempt to silence patriotic American's and Georgian's from returning government back to the people where it belongs.

This theme was not only resonating in Statesboro, Georgia but at the Austin City Hall in Texas. Texas Governor Rick Perry told Tea Party gatherers there, "The 10th Amendment was enacted by folks who remembered what it was like to have a very oppressive government – to be under the thumb of tyrants in an all-powerful government. Unfortunately, the protections it guarantees have melted away over the course of the years."

Perry warned, "There's a lot of different scenarios. We've got a great union. There's absolutely no reason to dissolve it. But if Washington continues to thumb their nose at the American people, you know, who knows what might come out of that. But Texas is a very unique place, and we're a pretty independent lot to boot."

Governor Sanford of South Carolina has also been issuing statements tinged with strong State's Rights flavor. Dozens of States had sovereignty bills and resolutions in their houses and senates this year seeking to reestablish their 10th Amendment rights.

In Georgia, the winds of freedom are blowing again as well. However, when it comes to legitimate Constitutional government under God there is only one choice. Georgia needs a man who will rule under God and for the people. According to Brown, that man is Ray McBerry.
